Residents in Warminster are to shortly receive cardboard and plastic bottle recycling bins. These blue-lidded bins for plastic bottles and cardboard recycling arrive next month (October) as part of the council's improved waste and recycling service.

Plastic and Cardboard Recycling piling up in Warminster kitchens - hopefully a thing of the past!
To maintain efficient collections alongside this new service, residents will have a change to the day and/or week that their household and garden waste is collected. The black box recycling service (cans, paper etc) is unaffected by these changes.
Warminster residents will shortly receive a letter of notification about these changes. Residents will also receive a collection calendar separately which will confirm what their new collection arrangements will be.
It is anticipated that the direct collection of cardboard and plastic will ease the burden on shared recycling centres in Warminster (see our article "Overflowing recycling centre in Warminster Central Car Park"
