Deadly TV's Steve Backshall to host live shows at Longleat

Longleat has announced CBBC's Deadly TV presenter, Steve Backshall will be hosting a series of live shows at the park over Easter.

The live shows will mark the launch of Longleat's new feature Deadly Adventure which will see parts of the park transformed in the style of BBC's Deadly programmes including Deadly 360, Deadly Top 10s and Deadly 60.
The shows will feature Steve Backshall showing people some of Longleat's deadliest residents. He will also be joined by several birds of prey as part of Longleat's Hunters of the Sky displays.
CBBC TV Presenter, Steve Backshall said: "Inspiring children to get out there, explore, see, do and find out something new is what Deadly is all about. I hope families will have fun taking part in the first Deadly Adventure at Longleat and be inspired to learn more about the amazing creatures they encounter here."
The displays will be available to visitors for free with the purchase of a day pass to the park or an annual pass. Tickets will need to be booked for the displays and are expected to be a popular attraction.
Tickets will be booked on a first come first served basis by calling the special ticket hotline on: 01985 845544. Lines are open 8am-6pm everyday.
Longleat's PR and Media Manager Steve Mytton said: "We're delighted Steve has agreed to come down and present a series of live animal encounters to help launch the new features."
Steve Backshall will be hosting the live events during the Easter holidays on Sunday, 31, March and Monday, 1, April 2013.
