Domino's Pizza will be coming to Warminster and creating new jobs

Domino's Pizza will be installing themselves in this unit on the High Street which has been empty for years
Commenting on its store opening plans for Warminster, a spokesperson for Domino's Pizza said:
"We are delighted to have been granted planning approval to open a new store at 43 – 45 High Street, Warminster. Our new store will create around 25 – 35 new jobs for local people and details of how to apply for these vacancies will be announced in the coming weeks. Work will begin on the new store shortly and we're hopeful to be able to open our doors during the summer.
"Domino's Pizza takes its role as a responsible neighbour very seriously and our franchisees work very hard to play an active role in the community, not only to deliver great tasting pizza but also to support numerous local charities, groups and events."
Those who dislike large brands will undoubtedly complain at another corporate franchise coming to Warminster, but anything that improves this shop unit which has been empty for years and is a real eyesore for Warminster, has got to be a good thing. Looking forward to tasting the goods!

It varies, but I do know that a small business person, who knows his workers as individuals, is more likely to treat them with respect, than a large corporate machine, that just thinks in numbers...Especially profit. I know that 'progress' cannot be halted, and also that usually the poor under all political systems, seem to carry the burden for economic mistakes of the powerful. That is how it is; but as far as Warminster is concerned, I love the town, and am saddened to see the town centre becoming just like every other town centre. The character of the town has changed already, and the past cannot be retrieved. I also know, that when I was a self employed businessman the small companies, paid the bills quickly, but the large ones kept payment back for 6 weeks to 6 months. They did not care at all. Just having a rant Alistair I guess.

ReportDo you think that independent local traders pay above and beyond the minimum wage?

ReportSoon there will be just the large companies, paying the minimum wage, for difficult part time hours, and as for prices, we will all be at their mercy then. The Global village is fast becoming a Global nightmare.
