High Street to become art gallery during Warminster Festival 2012

Warminster High Street is set to be centre of attention over the next two weeks with artistic displays across the town centre as part of the Warminster Festival 2012.

The High Street will be filled with creative artwork which will be visible in local shops and streets in the centre of Warminster over the next fortnight. 

St Lawrence chapel will be the venue for artist Ann Shuttlewood's work with her collection of paintings and drawings. Her work has already sparked interest throughout Europe with displays hanging in the RUH in Bath, Bloom Hotel in Brussels and the National Library in Sofia. Anna herself will also be attending the exhibition. She will also be holding art workshops Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 3pm-4:30pm at the chapel. 

The 'Museum of Me' is a great opportunity to look into other people's lives by viewing objects owned by local residents in Warminster. The exhibition will be held at Warminster Library.

The High Street will be transformed into an artistic hub with shops and venues displaying artwork from paintings to sculptures including chalk markings created by local artists to mark Wiltshire's chalk grass lands. Take your time walking down the High Street to view some of the work. 

Schools have also been getting involved with this year's Warminster Festival as Kingdown School invite the public to view students' artwork at Warminster Library.
