Kingdown School achieves best GCSE results ever!

Kingdown School in Warminster has achieved the best GCSE results to date, and nearly passes the 60% barrier.

Sara Edwards, Headteacher, said "We are extremely proud of our GCSE results - the best ever! Thanks to the hard work of the students and staff and with the support of parents we have achieved an amazing 59.7% 5 A*-C rate with English and Maths."
Reaching their target of a 57% pass rate would have placed Kingdown in the top 20% of schools nationally, so with this achievement they estimate a top 15% placing of all high performing schools in England.
Kingdown School also achieved:
- 80% 5A*-C – their best ever
- Reduced the gap between boys and girls to 5% - their best ever, by a significant margin
- 94.3% 5A*-G – their best ever
- A point score of 434.6
Globally then, lots to celebrate at Kingdown School this year with lots of milestones having been passed.
Sara Edwards remarked "These results are testament to the dedication and commitment shown by the staff and students throughout the year. I am very proud of this school community and all we have achieved together."
