Kingdown School in Warminster has achieved the best GCSE results to date, and nearly passes the 60% barrier.

Sara Edwards, Headteacher, said "We are extremely proud of our GCSE results - the best ever! Thanks to the hard work of the students and staff and with the support of parents we have achieved an amazing 59.7% 5 A*-C rate with English and Maths."

Reaching their target of a 57% pass rate would have placed Kingdown in the top 20% of schools nationally, so with this achievement they estimate a top 15% placing of all high performing schools in England.
