It is straight back to business for Kingdown School students as Year 11, 12 and 13 continue revising for impending mock GCSE examinations, GCSE module examinations, AS and A2 module examinations.
Sara Edwards, Headteacher of Kingdown School with a New Year Message
Year 9 students have been receiving their KS3 test results this week and will shortly begin their GCSE courses in English, Maths and Science.
The year 9 KS4 Option Evening is on 26th January and the following week is the Year 11 parent meetings.
During the term the student leaders will be discussing with Mr Porter, Miss Ronxin, the Heads of House and Sara Edwards anti-bullying measures, a reward tie for KS3 and the potential school uniform changes. Sara Edwards, Headteacher, says "The development of the student leadership structure has been a real highlight of this academic year and the dedication, enthusiasm and creativity coming forward from the pupils is truly impressive."
Sara Edwards goes on to say, "Our attendance figure is currently 94.8% – the highest it has ever been at this time of the school year, which is fantastic. For most of the term it has been above 95%, so I hope we will be up there again shortly."
