Police Appeal: Warminster shop window damaged

A Warminster shop window was damaged and police are appealing for anyone who knows any information regarding the incident to come forward.

A Warminster shop window was smashed and police are determining whether it was vandalism or accidental.
Town Pets discovered their shop window had been smashed and it is believed the incident occurred during the late hours of Friday, 23 and Saturday, 24, November 2012.
Police are currently investigating the town's CCTV footage to determine whether the window was vandalised or an accidental act.
Inspector Lindsey Winter said: "This type of damage in our town is mindless and unnecessary, those responsible clearly have no thoughts for other people's property or the price it costs to replace such a window. It is disappointing to know that we have people in our town who can do this type of damage and not be bothered by the consequences it brings."
This is the third time the window has to be replaced at Town Pets due to similar circumstances.
"I would urge those involved in this matter to be honest and to visit Town Pets to make good the damage. There are police sanctions available for matters such as this that if it was an accident," Lindsey Winter added.
Anyone with information can contact Wiltshire Police on the 101 non emergency number or hand information in at Warminster Police Station. All information will be handled with the strictest of confidence.
