Possibly the most frustrating sight in Warminster today?

Yes, Warminster drivers will recognise this...the "umbilical cord" that joins Morrisons Car Park with the Western Car Park!

Recently made one way with plates to stop traffic driving from the Car Park into Morrisons (which for those that did this was frustrating enough)...but today it looks they have lifted it all up and are either fixing it or starting again!

During the time I was taking the photograph at least 3 cars turned up only to find they had to turn around, and proceed either back up Sambourne Road or along George Street into town. You could hear the lips thinning and a few choice words being spoken...let's hope it is resolved soon.

Hmm according to the town plan this is going to be opened up?
re morrisons and assembly rooms/carbunkle car park.
There is an opportunity to rationalise car parking in the town centre to create a single management regime and to introduce an access route to the parking from both the east and western sides of the site to assist with reducing traffic congestion through the town centre, although it should be designed to ensure that it does not provide a through route which acts as a rat run.

That's interesting, I didn't know that.....makes sense now. Wonder though why Morrisons have decided to REALLy enfoce it now with traffic restriction measures?

When Safeways was built, a condition was that there was to be no exit to the main carpark from their carpark.
