Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area between 6pm Friday, 22, February to the time of the accident at around 3:30am Saturday, 23, February 2013.
Inspector Lindsey Winter said: "We should be able to park ours leaving them locked and secure where we need to, sadly there are isolated incidents which demonstrates we cannot do this."
"Vehicle crime is something the police treat seriously, but we cannot tackle this alone. There are lots of eyes and ears within the community that can help, we all have a part to play."
