A new kerbside collection for plastic bottles and cardboard will be introduced in Warminster in November.
Topics discussed included:
- A new kerbside recycling service for plastic bottles and cardboard is starting in November. Households will be issued with a new bin and a calendar of collection dates.
- Wiltshire has published a Consultation Document for the Core Strategy.
- Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge aims to protect 2,012 playing fields across Britian by 2012. Warminster has been asked to nominate two potential sites.
- Sector Inspector Lindsey Winter of Wiltshire Police reported a 15% reduction in overall crime.
- Two grants were approved: one of £2,000 towards the cost of Warminster Festival 2012 and one of £4,000 towards replacing bulbs and clips for Warminster and surrounding villages Christmas lights.
- A draft Commissioning Strategy for Young People aged 13 - 19 has been issued for consultation.
