Dart used to shoot horse in Warminster
A small metal tipped dart (as seen in the above photograph) was found lodged in the animal's neck. Fortunately the horse was covered with two rugs which prevented the dart causing serious injury and the owner says it will make a good recovery. Had the horse been hit in the eye the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Wiltshire Police are keen to identify the culprit and would welcome any information as to the identity the person responsible for such a reckless act.
Wiltshire police can be contacted on their new non-emergency number '101 or information can be given anonymously using the 'Crimestoppers' number 0800 555 111.

Comments
I found out later that this horse belongs to a little girl. It's disgusting to think how someone could be so cruel and I doubt those responsible had any reason to do it either. I really hope the horse is ok. Naomi.
