Warminsterpeople Profile - features a different Warminster personality each week.

In this final entry of the series our profile has been completed by one of Warminster's best known personalities, although he may not be so well known as an individual.  He is Wings, one of the senior pigeons who has made his home in the Old Town Hall.

Wings says he enjoys living on this prestigious site because it provides the perfect perch for a birds' eye view of the town. He is hoping that any future plans for the building's development will include adequate accommodation for his family and friends as he believes they now have squatters' rights.

Q How long have you lived in Warminster?

A Three years

Q Where were you born?

A  In the porch

Q Did you or do your children go to a Warminster school? If so which one?

A Not applicable for pigeons.

Q Do you have a nickname you are prepared to reveal?

A I'm known to everyone as Wings.

Q Who shares your home? – please include any pets.

A I live with my wife Lovey Dovey and my children Rocky, Feral, Clay and Toe-toe.

Q  What are your hobbies/interests?

A  Basking in the sun on the roof of Reeves and trying to find a way into the town hall so that I can explore a new roost. Otherwise I spend my time preening, fluttering and cooing.

Q Do you feature on Facebook or Twitter?

A I tweet, or should that be coo, as warminsterwings.

Q In which Warminster pub, café or restaurant are you most likely to be found?

A Usually on the pavement outside Subway – sometimes across the road outside the Café Journal.

Q Do you have a pop idol?

A We all really fancy a group called the Pigeon Detectives. 

Q Where do you go for a favourite Warminster walk – sorry, flight?

A To the park for a drink from the lake.
