Wiltshire Council urges Warminster residents to attend meeting

The next Warminster Area Board meeting will feature the new Police and Crime Plan which will give residents the chance to hear about Wiltshire's PCC police and crime strategies.

Wiltshire Council would like many Warminster residents to attend the next Area Board meeting.
The Police and Crime Plan will be published in March 2013 which will detail how Wiltshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson will work with the police force and partners including the council.
Residents of Warminster will also get a chance to speak to Angus Macpherson and ask any questions they may have.
Councillor Andrew Davis, chairman of the area board said: "I am delighted Warminster Area Board will provide one of the first opportunities for local people to hear Angus Macpherson's priorities for policing in the county."
Other discussions on the agenda for the next area board meeting include Warminster Lake Pleasure Gardens and how Wiltshire Council will be working towards minimising the impact of winter weather on road users.
A DVD presentation about the changes to the benefits system under the Welfare Reform Act 2012 will be shown which could affect anyone who is in a receipt of benefit or an employer.
"I encourage as many people from Warminster and the surrounding areas to attend on January 10 to hear about the plan and have their say," Councillor Andrew Davis said.
The meeting will begin at 7pm and refreshments of tea and coffee will be served from 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
