All Hallows Eve is fast approaching, and there are plenty of activites to get your fangs into, in and around Warminster.

From 22nd to 31st October, for example, Longleat Safari and Adventure Park are running a "Spookfest of Tricks and Treats" including Ghost Tours of Longleat House, a Pumpkin Trail of activities including magic tricks, balloon modelling and spooky face painting, and some "Nasty but Nice" creepy crawlies! You can get close to the bats in the Bat Cave (hopefully no vampires here) and hear grizzly tales of ghosts, murder and intrigue in Longleat House. Most activites are included with a valid Longleat ticket and FREE with a Longleat Annual Pass, although a fee and pre-booking is required for the Ghost Tours.

Heytesbury School (organised by HYPO - Heytesbury Young Persons Organisation) will witness a spooky Halloween Party on 28th October, with DJ Skinny Pete on the decks for a disco, with drinks, snacks and prizes for the best dressed witch or warlock, ghoul or goblin! All Tickets £1.00. Under 8's must be accompanied by an adult. 7pm start. Tickets can be bought on the night or from Heytesbury School, Heytesbury Shop or 71 High Street. If you'd like to make or lend some decorations please contact Nikki (01985 840782) or Vanessa (01985 850447).

The Red Lion at Heytesbury, under new ownership, is holding a "Spooky Capers" Halloween Night on Monday 31 October from 4pm to 6pm. Parents, families and friends are invited to bring their little gremlins and spooks for an evening of supervised fun and games! Costumes are essential for aspiring Ghosts and Ghouls! Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed spook, nastiest ghoul etc! Call Nettie on 01985 840798 or Mike on 01985 840315 for details.

Warminster RFC celebrates the scariest night of the year on 29 October with a Halloween Party. From 7.30pm to late, with disco, buffet, fancy dress and prizes for the best costumes. All welcome. Members £2, Non-members £4, tickets available on the door.
