The painting of double yellow lines was disrupted in Warminster after a car was parked in the way of the painter's tracks.
Wiltshire Council planned to paint double yellow lines along Bradley Road, Warminster however a gap has been left after a car was parked.
Workmen worked around the car and attempted to paint the lines as far as they could under the car so no one would be able to park there.
Letters are sent to residents by Wiltshire Council if new road markings are to be painted in the area and ask for cars to be moved from the affected area.
Workers are due to return to finish the double yellow lines this week.
