I wonder if Wiltshire Council could be persuaded to instruct those who work on the roads to place their temporary traffic signs on the road and NOT on the pavements as they are inclined to do presently.
I suggest we form a sign vigilante group to move any we find on the pavements off the pavement and on to the road.
How about reporting this to CLARENCE (Customer Lighting and Roads Enquiry Centre) to see what he says about it?

Not their department, I expect, as they deal with carriageway and pavement defects. This is a procedural matter and needs high level council attention. It is quite distressing to see elderly and sight impaired people being inconvenienced and endangered by this practice. People with young children in push chairs also suffer.
