How about the path which leads out of the Smallbrook Lane carpark?
This short level track leads through the trees beside the river to a gurgling waterfall and then a large expanse of cut grass.
There are some ruins of a building beside the river and I remember somebody telling me that this was once a mill. Apparently the people of Upton Scudamore used to walk to Warminster to have their wheat ground as they had no mill in their village. I wonder if anybody else has heard that story?
