It's good that the roadworks have finished at last but have they improved the traffic flow, pedestrian access, parking situation or general appearance of the town centre?

It is up to us to make sure our town centre works well, that means keeping it tidy and taking litter home or using the bins, parking sensibly (taxis take note) and shopping locally. How can we expect people from out of the area to want to come to Warminster if we are not proud of it.

Yes, but the point is that they shouldn't have started the roadworks in the first place. How many shops closed whilst they were going on? My worry is that with the ongoing mismanagement of our town we will lose much of the retail in our town centre and people will, ever more often, end up in Salisbury etc....

I keep hearing people say "but now we can't just go into town, park in the high street while we pop into a shop." - it has to be a far more lengthy outing if we park in the central car park.
I wonder if the planners thought about this - it means we don't go into town so easily or so often.
