Christmas In The Air in Warminster

Driving from Trowbridge, through Westbury, to Warminster this morning, you couldn’t help but feel that Christmas is most certainly in the air as we race through December. There may only be the odd pile of snow now left lying round from last week, but the hills are still covered in a mix of snow and ice, and the air still hangs white, creating a beautiful wintery effect.

The hills and fields frame the entrance to Warminster perfectly – it was just a shame I was driving and couldn’t grab any pictures on my phone.

Warminster itself seemed to have a real Christmas feel to it with its lights up and the trees hung on the buildings, the chill in the air just added to the feel. The shops are packed with Christmas gifts, people are walking round with bags trying to find the perfect present for the special people in their lives. While the park is iced up still and the ducks and swans are gathered at the edge of the iced up boating lake.

It just reminds me that I really should start wrapping up my Christmas presents….. Although no doubt I’ll find some more presents I need to buy.

You're quite right, there is definitely a Christmas feel now. Warminster looks even better when the lights are on at night!
