Friends of the latest casualty in Afghanistan, Marine Anthony Hotine, whose family live in Warminster, paid tribute to the "larger than life" character they knew.

The Bell and Crown in Deverill Road, Warminster, where Marine Anthony Hotine was a regular customer.
"He was the centre of every party and had masses of friends in the town," said Sasha Roarty, who works at the Bell
and Crown where the Marine was well known.
“He was a regular customer here – and we’re going to miss
him terribly", she said.
Sasha went to Kingdown school
with Anthony or "Tino" as he was known. "He went out to Afghanisatn in April and was expected back
in October," she said. "He used to email regularly
and I last heard from him about three weeks ago. His parents, Nicky and
Neil, who live in South Street are also known here and he has two younger
brothers. We’re all really going to miss him.”
Landlady of the Bell
and Crown, Rachel Pitts, said “All his friends here are really upset. We've put a
collecting box on the counter for Tino and are making a collection in his
memory. His friends will decide how it will be used."

ReportIt is a measure of the level of the cost our servicemen continue to pay in Iraq and Afghanistan that we mow have two deaths closely linked to our small town.
Our hearts go out to the Parents of Anthony Hotine.
