L-R Kate Milichevic, prize winner Mrs Catherine Wilson and Alicia Harlow with the equipment which will be given to a school in Ghana.
Mrs Catherine Wilson, a teacher at Warminster School, won alworth's recent "Spot the Ball" competition.
Every customer spending over
£10 in-store between 12 and 25 June was entitled
to enter by placing a sticker on the giant poster of a football
scene - minus the ball.
Catherine Wilson, from Tilshead, most accurately guessed the position
of the missing ball and won a Kickmaster football and goal, which she has decided to donate to a school in Ghana.
For the past four years Warminster School has
been twinned with the Hannah School Complex in Accra, Ghana. Pupils exchange letters and this year the Year 10 pupils from Warminster
paid their contemporaries a visit.
Collecting her prize on Saturday, Mrs Wilson said: “The schools regularly support each other and
I’m delighted to be able to send the equipment out to Ghana. After all, football is a universal language and everyone understands it.”
