Transwilts Rail Group report that they have taken a significant step forward  with a proposal for

a regular train service between Salisbury and Swindon.

This service of nine trains a day in each direction, serving eight stations including Warminster,  would be operated by First Great Western.

The Group are carrying out a survey to discover passenger needs for this proposal and are asking for all those interested to take part as soon as possible. The survey can be found on  http://www.transwiltsrail.org.uk  and the results must be in by Friday 18th February.
