Warminster School volunteers carry out benchmark exercise

Volunteers recorded footfall into Warminster town centre.
Warminster and Villages Community Partnership heard some interesting faacts about Warminster visitors when they met last week. Volunteers from Warminster School helped to conduct the first benchmarking exercise on Friday 9th July and had recroded footfall at
ten entrances to the town centre.
Their findings included the following information:
- total of 3,602 people walked
into the town,
- 50% had travelled to Warminster by car,
- 15% had travelled by bus,
- 90% people questioned
lived in BA12.
Valuable data was
gathered including views on the appearance and cleanliness of Warminster, the variety
of shops and satisfaction with the visit.
The Group learned that there will be a further benchmarking exercise in the autumn.
