Have a look inside! Today and tomorrow bring a chance to inspect Warminster's latest retirement development.

Built on the site of the Octagon garage at the junction of

Silver Street, Ash Walk, George Street and Sambourne Road, Imber Court  occupies a key position in the town and passers

by have been able to watch each stage of its building process.

Yesterday McCarthy & Stone, the developers who specialise in "Retirement Living",  hosted a “Professionals

Lunch”.  Guests included members of the Town Council, as well as local

traders and key members of the community.

Speaking after her tour of the apartments Warminster’s Mayor Cllr Sue Fraser

said, “I was surprised how spacious they are and this communal room is very

light and airy.  I welcome the development for Warminster as it brings more people into the town centre.”

Its location right in the centre of town was remarked on by

several visitors as one of its attractions.  Imber

Court has been developed specifically for the

retired and anybody interested in living there must be over 60.  Bathrooms all have grab rails and kitchens have been designed with safety in mind. For the "senior citizen" one of the benefits of living in Imber Court  is the security aspect - there's a CCTV

system, an intruder alarm, 24 hour emergency call and fire detection system.

The communal facilities include a laundry room, residents’

lounge and a guest room for visitors.  A House

Manager is on site to help with the day to day practicalities and outside the building an area has been landscaped with

flower beds and a paved sitting area.

The apartments are

for sale as leasehold properties with an annual service charge.  For more information ring 01985 215495.
