The removal of a section of hedgerow on the boundary of a new housing development

off Victoria Road

has caused concern.

Richard Haes of Warminster Civic Trust spoke to yesterday’s meeting

of Warminster Town Council’s Planning Advisory Committee reporting the demolition

of part of a longstanding hedge on the boundary of the Victoria Fields Development.

The hedge runs alongside the Public Footpath, known as North Lane, off Victoria

Road and part of it lies along one boundary of the new housing

development by Persimmon Homes

Wessex.

The Council agreed a proposal to request a meeting with the Planning

Department of Wilts Council at the earliest opportunity.
