Award was presented to long standing Warminster residents John and Sheila
Pomeroy at the Civic Reception held in the
Assembly Rooms on Friday.
The Pomeroys have lived in Warminster for over 35 years and are involved in a wide range of

certificate for 20 years as a volunteer at Warminster Hospital. Besides being a trustee and active member of the Warminster and District Food bank, Sheila is involved with the Link scheme, and has recently taken on
the role as Sacristan at the Chapel of St Lawrence.
Presenting the
award, Warminster Mayor, Councillor Sue Fraser said: “The
range of activities that John and Sheila are involved in is demonstrated by how
well known they are within the community for their selflessness and positive
attitude. They work tirelessly for the
benefit of Warminster and the wider community and I am delighted to present
this award to them both.”
The Civic Award is
presented annually to a person who has made a
material contribution to the welfare of the people of Warminster.
