A 10 mile charity walk planned for Saturday June 19th will take in four Warminster hills, Battlesbury, Middle, Scratchbury and Cotley.
Starting at Bishopstrow, after climbing the hills walkers will stop at the Angel Inn, Heytesbury for lunch, cross the River Wylye and join the Wessex Ridgeway before ending up at the Ginger Piggery in Boyton. Transport is being arranged to bring walkers back to Bishopstrow for a barbecue.
The Charity to benefit is the HelWel Trust which raises money for the Health and Welfare (hence its name) for villages in KwaZulu, Africa.
The walk is being organised by trust members who besides hearing from people who would like to join the walk would also like to hear from drivers willing to collect walkers from Boyton to bring them back for the barbecue - free barbecue for drivers!
Entry charge is £5 and anyone who would like to join the walk should contact organisers Liz and Russ Sharp at helwel@talktalk.net or phone 01364 652333. They are asking for replies by 31st May.
