Under the title “Winning and Retaining Good Clients” he gave tips which he had learned in 25 years of selling. One of the main rules he suggested was understanding a customer’s needs and he extended the ABC of selling to a D for determination.
Wiltshire Rural Business Club meets bi-monthly and supports rural businesses in south west Wiltshire. About twenty members came to enjoy the talk and supper, among them local sculptor Anthony Wilson from Heytesbury and staff from SureSet paving in Sutton Veny.
One of the Wiltshire businesses represented was Factory Five Racing (UK) from Salisbury which distributes high performance sports cars. Its co-owner Ian Hunter arrived in a low-slung open-topped car he had built built from a kit.
