BHTVs Director of Production, Tim Saunders, said 'We were the ideal partner for them. We don't have the huge overheads of traditional production houses and we are above all historians. We aim to deliver sound, entertaining history that does not patronise viewers, at a sensible price.'
The first batch of DVDs will be published in the spring and will be available in supermarkets and from several major high street retailers, as well as internet downloads from battlefieldhistory.tv

Not in Warminster but nearby! In 878 AD King Alfred The Great defeated Guthram's Vikings somewhere up on the Plain between Bishopstrow and Eddington in the battle of Ethandune. Alfred's army assembled in the Avon Valley between Stourhead and Eastleigh Wood and forded the River in Bishopstrow before heading up onto the Plain, probably taking a route between Battlesbury and Middle Hills. The Saxon victory guaranteed the peace and freedome of Wessex making this one of the great but forgotten British battles.
