Here are two ideas for Christmas outings from Warminster - one for children and one for fans of Jerome Kern.

Passengers line up after their ride on Longleat's Santa Train
Longleat are once again running their popular Santa Trains. These are a special Christmas train which travels through the woods, alongside the lake, to arrive at Santa’s grotto where there is a log fire and twinkling fairy lights. Inside
Santa waits to meet each child and give them a present.
The first train runs on Sunday 29th November and
the last on Christmas Eve. All journeys
after dark are now booked but spaces are still available during the day.
It is essential to pre-book seats on a Santa Train - telephone 01985 845408.
Tickets to include present cost £12 for children and £6 for adults.
In Salisbury the Salberg Studio at the Playhouse is presenting “The
Way You Look Tonight” as a celebration of one of America’s greatest composers, Jerome
Kern.
The show includes songs such as "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes", "A
fine romance" and "Ol’Man River". It is
billed as a stylish evening of witty anecdotes and classic songs sung by West End performers. The narration is written by Kit Hesketh Harvey, one half of cabaret duo Kit and the Widow.
"The Way You Look Tonight" runs from Thursday 10 December to Saturday 16 January and
tickets cost £15.
