With many services disrupted as the bitterly cold weather continues with no sign of any thaw local websites continue to give uptodate information and advice.

Wiltshire Council urges people to take care as the wintery weather continues and warns that as moderate snowfall and strong winds are expected over the weekend roads and pavements will remain hazardous.

They will continue to salt and clear roads and pavements but pedestrians and motorists are urged to take care and to consider whether their journey is absolutely necessary.

Changes to services will continue to be publicised through the council’s website at www.wiltshire.gov.uk

Many schools have now reopened but parents are advised to continue listening to local radio stations such as BBC Wiltshire - http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/wiltshire/hi/, Heart FM - www.heartwilts.co.uk, Spire FM - http://www.spirefm.co.uk/ and Three Towns Radio - www.3trfm.com on Monday, particularly if there are more snow falls over the weekend.

Household waste bins should be left out and the council will attempt to collect them when it is safe to do so.

More information about the weather can be found on  www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/sw/sw_forecast_warnings.html) and from local radio stations.
