Across the country this weekend buildings not normally accessible to the public will be opening their doors.

This event is co-ordinated by local branches of the Civic Trust and details of the Warminster buildings involved were listed on this site last month on  http://www.warminsterpeople.co.uk/news/Heritage-Open-Days-Warminster/story-6588456-detail/story.html.

Pre-booking was needed for some of the sites and Elisabeth Collyns of Warminster Civic Trust reports that some lists are already full.  Tours for the Small Arms Weapons Collection at the Land Warfare Centre and  Dents Museum and Demo of Factory Products are now fully booked, as are tours of the Masonic Hall in the Market Place.

Other lists which are nearly full are for the Athenaeum Centre in the High Street and Warminster Maltings in Pound Street. If people are still hoping to visit this weekend they should book their place as soon as possible by ringing Elisabeth Collyns on 212825.

Full details of the openings can be found on the Civic Trust website at

http://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/directory/search-results/50af605fd01eda93c0bc80fbb34e2ac0/

Correction - the Old Town Hall is open from 2 - 4 on Friday and Saturday, not 10 - 4 as listed on the Civic Trust site.
