A new illustrated leaflet has been published giving details of the attractions to be found in the Lake Pleasure Grounds off Weymouth Street. It lists the range of activities which take place in, what is described as, "a park for all seasons".

In summer pedaloes can be hired from the boathouse and during July and August Warminster can look forward to band concerts on Sunday afternoons. The Park includes something for all ages with tennis courts and skate park, putting green and paddling pool and for the less energetic the adjoining Smallbrook Meadows Nature Reserve provides a leisurely level walk.
The leaflet also includes some local history. How many people in Warminster know that the lake was dug by hand (or perhaps spade?) and the Civic Trust Garden was once a swimming pool?
The leaflet has been funded by Friends of Warminster Park. Copies are available from Warminster Information Centre, Warminster Town Council, Warminster Library and at the Boathouse in the Park.
