Rubbish!

I rang the Council about the lack of rubbish and re-cycling collections on Christmas Eve - were they ever really going to do that? Apparently there had been delays in the collection schedule due to the snow and places that they were unable to get to early last week.

Refuse awaiting collection or at least some of it!
With Warminster being at the bottom end of the weekly collection chain efforts to catch up were not completed before Christmas and now we have to wait with all that extra Christmas waste until our next scheduled collection - so much for all that painful recycling - run out of room and the will to save the planet - or something
The poor lady on the Council phone had clearly been bombarded by 'Grumpy of Warminster and surrounding villages' all morning and I was forced to apologise for haranguing her! Hope she has a better New Year!!

The bins were eventually emptied but my disgracefully large pile of empty Christmas cheer bottles had to go to the tip (those 5 miles a week they are encouraging us to reduce). I was merrilly filling up the bottle bank, when a manager (?) sidled up and looking at said disgraceful pile, asked me 'Is that trade waste, sir?'. Message to self don't have such a boozy Christmas next year! Personally, I blame the wife's family!
