The Satisfaction of Free-cycling!

As a life-long re-cycler, I was so thrilled to discover the joys of Free-cycle (or Freegle as the Warminster group is called).  We are about to move from a large Victorian town house to a much smaller rural one and the temptation here, with cellar and large roof space, has been to keep things that one never needs again! 

However, a good friend showed me how to log on to Freegle - via Yahoo - and I have not looked back!  I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a massive clear out or are moving on. 

'Freegling' involves putting whatever you don't want onto the Freegle site - expecting no money for it, no animals can be traded and the recipient collects!  Those are the only three rules....

I have found things I forgot I ever had.  I have vastly reduced what the removers need to transport for us and better still, I have met lots of very nice people who think just like me! 

It saves mounds of things going to landfill and another life for things in perfect working order, but not necessarily with any great value.

We have reduced our possessions by disposing of extra chairs, a spare vacuum cleaner, a bike, printers, TV, radios etc.  Anything really!

So, give it a go!  It could not be easier and think what a good job you are doing for Wiltshire and the huge problem of landfill sites.

As an aside, I also gave lots of books, videos and bric a brac to the Lions Club who hold a car boot sale every Sunday at Crockerton

Trading estate - so everything has been re-cycled!
