The Stars of Hollywood

What a great idea for Warminster to have its own website – I shall follow it with interest.
I moved to Los Angeles, West Hollywood from the UK about 18months ago. We returned to visit recently, and I realised how much I miss England in the summer, especially Warminster and the Plain, beautiful at this time of year. Familiar trips to Lidl and ambling walks on Scratchbury Hill, star gazing at night (you don’t see night time stars in LA), watching cricket and going into the bookshop in the High Street, all reassured me that dear, green England was still there.
Was surprised to find that on returning to Hollywood, rather than feeling the wave of homesickness I was fully expecting, I found myself seeing the city with fresh eyes and enjoying the fact I live somewhere so glamorous and with such a fun vibe.
There is plenty of buzz going on pretty much 24/7 - mostly related to celebrity
gossip! I have a competition with a friend of mine about who sees the most famous celebrity when we shop in Bristol Farms - the local farm shop in Beverly Hills (a very different style of farm shop compared with the one at Beckington) where you are pretty much guaranteed an A-list spot on every visit.
Lunching at Chateau Marmont will almost guarantee a sighting of David and Victoria Beckham - from a distance at least, along with many other celebrities! It certainly took a while to get used to bumping into them, but here, it’s just a part of every day life.
But in my opinion, the real stars lie in south wilts!
