The following topics were discussed at the recent Town Development Committee of Warminster Town Council.
-
The Memorial Lych Gate which is to be signed off Copheap Lane
Copheap Memorial - the Council has agreed to place pedestrian fingerposts pointing to the Memorial Path and Lych Gate off Copheap Lane.
Grit Bins: the Council has received requests for more grit bins in the town and these will be passed on to Wiltshire Council. Empty grit bins should be reported to the Town Council so that requests for refills can be passed on.
Smallbrook Road: the use of this road as a rat run is causing concern and raises the problem of how to stop its use by unauthorised traffic. Cllr Davis offered to attend the next meeting of Residents Group along with a Highways Officer.
Cycle Routes: Cllr Fryer told the Council he would like to see a long term plan for Cycle Routes in and around the town. It was agreed to put this suggestion to the Town Plan Working Group.
Comments
As you are thinking about Cycle Routes what about a leaflet including Cicular Walks around Warminster. There are some on the Wiltshire Council web site that perhaps could be incorperated into a leaflet.
