Topics discussed at Warminster & Villages Community Partnership Meeting.

The Economy and Tourism Group of Warminster & Villages Community Partnership (WVCP) met last week and the following topics were discussed:

A business plan is being prepared for the Old Factory Shop to become a Warminster and Villages Development Trust (WVDT) shop selling refurbished furniture.

The Group believe that the old Town Hall should be for use by the town and suggested that the small car park off Weymouth Street 

would be a useful parking area for it.  This area has planning permission for housing. 

The Group discussed need to advertise future events which include St George's Day celebration, a Warminster Wobble cycling event and the Warminster Festival.  

WVDT is running an Arts Competition together with Warminster Art Society in August.

The amount of litter on the approach roads to Warminster was discussed and it was agreed to write a letter to Warminster Town Council about this problem.
