Mr Kerr took over his new post last month when he said, “I want to make Wiltshire one of the best authorities in the country and the work we do with our communities to be our greatest strength."
The meeting began with a presentation on Broadband Access by the Upper Deverills Broadband Action Group which aims to improve internet access for rural communities.
Further topics discussed included:
A proposal to install a roundabout at the junction of Copheap Lane and Portway.
The results of speeding surveys from various locations, including the Boreham Road.
A report was given on alcohol issues and the possibility of creating a Designated Public Place Order (DPPO) for Warminster. A DPPO gives police the power to ask people, who are behaving in an alcohol induced anti-social manner within a defined area, to stop drinking and hand over any alcohol in their possession.
