Warminster Christmas Countdown

 

Four days to go and the supermarket queues show no sign of disappearing.  Warminster Morrisons is as busy as ever.

 General Store manager Sandy Whitton says “We thought people wouldn’t be spending so much this year but it seems nobody has backed off.  Festive goods such as chocolates and alcohol are selling as well as ever.” 

“One of our best selling lines is goose fat which people are buying for their roast potatoes – another is the potted orchid which sells for £15.  It seems that everybody trades up at Christmas.”
