through its appearance on “Homes Under the Hammer”.
The BBC1 TV programme records properties
being sold at auction and follows their progress while owners convert,
redecorate and, in the case of SofaCo Plus, open as a shop. The programme shown last week related the story
of how owner Tom O’Hare bought his Warminster shop, SofaCo Plus, and follows its progress as
alterations are made and new stock brought in.
Mr O’Hare admits that before the sale he had never heard of
the TV programme. “I arrived to find the
cameras were there for the sale and they asked if they could come and film the
premises when I moved in. Since the programme went out I’ve had enquiries from across
the country,” said Mr O’Hare, who is now living above the shop.
SofaCo Plus brings a new sense of luxury and style to the Warminster
furnishing scene with some stock sourced in UK
and some in South Africa. As well as elegant leather sofas and popular
tub chairs, SofaCo Plus has furnishing extras like cushions, lighting and
candlesticks. Although his stock of exotic
animal hide handbags is made a long way away, local artists are supported with
sculptures and pictures.
SofaCo Plus not only caters for personal customers. “We also
supply furnishings for small hotels, bed and breakfasts and holiday lets,” said
Tom.
A TV programme has alerted customers to one of Warminster’s
newest shops and Tom O’Hare is ready to seat them in style!

Appearing on "Homes Under the Hammer" has given a very public start to this shop's arrival on the Warminster scene.
Not only do we now know all about how SofaCo Plus came about - but also the health of its owner!
Good to see Warminster on tv and described as a pretty town - now all we want to know is who's going to be the next to buy a new Sofa(Co Plus)?
