Funtime in the Park

Funtime in the park on Saturday 10th July was organised by the town's development service for young people, this year marked the 2nd funtime held by the town and was hugely successful, the day included live bands, BMX and Roller blading competitions, bouncy castles and a BBQ in the afternoon.
The event attracted young people of all ages to celebrate their individual talents in the skate park competitions in the morning, or in the Battle of the Bands competition in the evening. Sam Shore who worked hard organising the day to ensure it was a success, described how pleased she was with the response from the local community, firstly with the £1000 donated by the town council which helped to fund the day and also the turnout of young people, it was all in all "far better than last year!"
